unable to switch on mini inertnet device

Hi got this device last August, now if you try to switch it on, the lights come on for a couple of seconds and then switchs off, tried reset, nil fix - any ideas? before taking it back. Some times you hold the power switch on and nothing happens at all. Have plug it into charge, but in the couple off seconds the light comes on 4 green power lights are shown

The lights do go off after a bit but it is still live. The point is are you getting a connection thro' it?
