Unable to get 4G on HTC M9, O/S Android 6

Hi, I have a HTC M9 phone and it says that it is capable of receiving 4G like my old HTC M8.

But I can't get it to connect

My preferred network settings say:

Global

LTE/CDMA

GSM/UMTS

What do I need to do to get my data working on EE with HTC M9?

Thanks

Hi @midiman

Have you tried all 3?

Is the device from the US?

Are you on EE, not Orange or Tmobile? If you are PAYG have you any data allowance?

Thanks,

Hi,

Yes I have tried all three and and all I can get is the H symbol for data if I set it to global.

i am starting to think that the phone is the US version as it says something about Verizon if I try to update the software.

I purchased the phone unlocked and it can connect to the network and do everything else ok apart from pickup 4G.

I didn't have this problem with my M8.

Thanks

@midiman

If its the US Verizon version, it wont work on EE 4G.

If you check under settings about the phone and look for the model number, if I remember correctly if it has VW in the number then its the Verizon Wireless version.

Thanks,

Re: Unable to get 4G on HTC M9, O/S Android 6

Hi,

The model number just says HTC One M9 and nothing else.

It's annoying because it is a nice phone and everything else works ok.

I will see if I can send it back but I don't want to repeat the mistake again.

I didn't have the same issue with my M8.
