Router 4GEE Solwise suggest external antenna 4G-XPOL-A0001 for canal boat ?.

Please help having talked to EE I have been told that I should have two internal antenna on my 4GE Rueter box which is installed on my canalboat so I travel often but having spoken to Solwise they say external antenna 4G-XPOL-A0001 for the signal I need @- conflicting information from Solwise and EE. Said the external antenna had to be fitted at one location for establishing one connection, but of course on a canal boat I will be connecting up every day at a different place for instance so if you can make head or tail of this some help would be greatly welcomed thank you

It will be just 1 connection to your 4GEE router, just not at 1 location.

Thankyou Peter, EE said the external antenna had to be only used on the same one connection all the time not mobile - probably thought I was using it on the move, but will use it only when stationary - communication lost in translation I think - thanks so much. 😊

The 4G-XPOL-A0001 is an omni-directional antenna so you can mount it to the outside of your canal boat, connect both leads to your 4GEE Router and then not have to worry!

I think they might have got a bit confused about what you meant by moving around.

You can use it while the boat is moving! We use phones (while passenger) in cars and busses don't we!

I think they must have thought you meant remounting the antenna on lots of parts of the boat or something.
