Re: PAYG Mobile Broadband problems

Hi @jomcr

Thank you for coming to see us in community 🙂

Are you trying to connect it via WiFi?

Is the WiFi turned on on the mobile and if so is the 4GEE WiFi Mini picking it up as a recognised device?

Have you set the 4GEE WiFi Mini up as a hot spot?

If not, here is how you do it from our 4GEE WiFi Mini help and support pages.

Find out how to change the WiFi network name and password on your device

  • Connect the device to the PC via the USB cable.
  • Launch a web browser and in the address bar, enter http://ee.mobilebroadband then click the arrow icon or press Enter.
  • From the home page, click log in here to access settings.
  • Enter the required username and password, then click OK.
  • Click WiFi Setting under the Quick Setup tab.
  • Click the SSID field, then enter the required hotspot name.
  • Click the Security dropdown.
  • Click the desired security type (e.g. WPA2 PSK).
  • Click the Key field, then enter the required password.
  • Note: To view the password, tick Show Password tickbox.
  • Click Apply or Save.
  • If prompted, click OK.

The WiFi network name and password have been changed, and the device has been set up as a WiFi hotspot.

Let me know if this helps.

Hi Mark,

Thank you for your email. I have followed your instructions but still
getting the message from Chrome 'offline, no network available'

[mod edit: please do not post personal information such as phone numbers on the public board. Thanks!]
