Netgear Nighthawk M1 signal strength

Hi,

I was considering getting the Netgear Nighthawk M1 mobile router for mobile broadband. Does anyone have any experience with this? Particularly indoors? Is the 4G signal better than your average 4G phone?

Thanks

Re: Netgear Nighthawk M1 signal strength

Hi @Macman4789

Search Google and the Netgear forums as these seem to be problematic. I would recommend the white EE ones, they aren't perfect but seem to be more reliable.

Or just buy a 4G router SIM free from Amazon etc and then get a SIM only plan.

Thanks

I've reviewed EE's latest 4GEE Portable WiFi if it helps: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kJmp9aUgjD0

Re: Netgear Nighthawk M1 signal strength

Thank you for this, it was a very helpful video. Do you find the indoor signal of that EE device to be better than your standard 4G phone?

I noticed with the Netgear you can add an addiontal antenna if you want.

I have 10 smartphones all with quite different signal performances! However I can't say I've noticed it as being better or worse.
