Just got my 4G EE WiFi box (not the Mini)

Hi - I've managed to log in to the box, change the admin password, rename the WiFi SSIDs, and change the WiFi Password(s)

(and I've managed to connect to the box's Wifi)

But, one thing has me stumped ...

I (well my phone), can't seem to get both the 2.4Ghz & 5Ghz SSIDs to show in the list of available SSIDs at the same time

I only see whichever SSID I last set in the admin web setup

Can the box really only do one WiFi band at a time ?

Re: Just got my 4G EE WiFi box (not the Mini)

Yours must be a newer model/firmware than that described in that article I linked you to.

Looking at those WiFi radio buttons they are used for selecting 1 alternative from many. So choice is 2.4 GHz OR 5 GHz OR Disabled. Hence it uses the band you last played with.

Re: Just got my 4G EE WiFi box (not the Mini)

You sure it is meant to have 2 WiFi bands? The SSID is only mentioned in the singular in Set up as a WiFi hotspot

Re: Just got my 4G EE WiFi box (not the Mini)

I was basing that on the label inside the device showing 2x SSIDs

EE SSIDs.jpg

Perhaps I shouldn't have assumed that each SSID had it's own band 😶

So it does! Please post an image of the WiFi Settings page, obscuring your pwd.

I'm also assuming that as I can't see my uploaded photo, it's got to be approved ?

No, I've seen that. I'm after seeing the actual Settings page of the router.
