Flashing blue symbols blue and will not connect.

My 4GEE WIFI MINI flashes the 4 blue symbols blue and will only connect temporarily if I remove the battery.

I had a live chat with the EE technical help and it seems that there's a fault with my device.
I've decided to end my contract. I've spent too much money for the service I've had so far.

Yes but I had to trail back to the shop, pay to park, leave it, repeat the process to pick it up... I've paid £147 so far for about 15 hours of use. I can do without it.

On Monday, I gave technical help one more go, this time by phone. I don't want to give out a name, but if my opinion of EE has improved, it is because of the dedication of 'H'.

I was surprised at the level of flexibility that arises out of the threat to terminate the contract.

I've been busy with a house move, so I haven't used the unit for a while.

I received a replacement SIM, having been told that it would need to be activated.

My original SIM had begun to work, so I checked that first. It was okay.

Then I tried the replacement SIM (not activated at the time) and got the offending "Flashing blue symbols ...".

This led me to suppose that the symptom indicated loss of activation. I haven't had any further support since, so perhaps my theory is correct.

Or are you just using the old one?

The new one hasn't been activated yet. I haven't had a response from 'H'.
I haven't tried it since that time, because of moving house etc. I'm assuming that it will work.
If not, I'll be back to square one.

For a few weeks I haven't had time to do anything with the WiFi, having moved house, but it seems to have been ready to go.

I've bought a new tablet, which seems to be a Google-Monkey, that is it won't do anything without an internet connection.

So last night I tried to connect.

   It didn't work!

So that's it; I'm finished with EE.

 

I was aware of a colleague who'd had a nightmare when trying to get an EE land-line set up. Multiple days off work, waiting for repeat house calls. I then thought that wireless EE might be different. I now know.

Can you join the 4GEE WiFi network successfully?

Yes, exactly the same. The location is different by about two miles. The first time it happened was before I moved house.

It says

"NO KNOWN PROBLEMS IN BB9***"

I think it's either the device that I've got or the SIM that's becoming de-activated. When I received a replacement SIM (to be activated later) to try out, I put it in and it did the same thing.
