Cannot activate new sim because not using in a phone

I have recently ordered a replacement SIM for an Osprey 2 Mini device. I cannot activate the new SIM because it's a 4Gee only device, not a mobile phone, so I cannot receive the text message with the authentication code. And the SIM must be the micro size, which won't fit in my phone to get the code! What can I do?

Yes, you can! The Osprey 2 Mini does SMS as do most MBB routers. It even has a light showing you there are unread 1s.

That’s great, but I can’t get the Osprey to show the texts - the 192.168.1.1 code in a browser doesn’t work regardless of whether I have my device plugged into my computer or if I’m trying to enter it on my phone.

What happens when you click on http://192.168.1.1 from a device connected to the Ospray? What do you 1st see?

It just doesn’t load a page at all, the browser times out.

Then the device you are using is not connected to the Ospray by WiFi. Find its SSID in your list of networks seen & supply its WiFi password as found on the label underneath.
