4GEE action cam update in Belgium

I have bought a 4GEE action cam and need to get life streaming.

for this I need to upgrade the firmware.

i have a connection, I send a sms to the number and received it.

on the cam I switched to upgrade mode but it stays searching for it.

on my iPhone I select upgrade and get a message “ you firmware is up to date”

but when I select life streaming I get a message I need to upgrade.

how Can I solve this?

one important thing: I use this cam in Belgium

Roaming is on , data is on and when connected to the cam I can surf the net.

I hope you are having a good time in Belgium?  

 

When you are trying to get the software updated, are you connected to WiFi at all?

 

Here is some information from our How to use the 4GEE Action Cam app help and support pages/

 

To update your camera software, follow these steps:

 

  1. Turn on your camera.
  2. Check you have a 3G or 4G signal. You can do this by checking the bottom right corner of the camera screen.
  3. Scroll to settings and scroll to more.
  4. Enter more and scroll across to update.
  5. If an update is available it will appear and you need to download and then install the update.

Alternatively you can pair to the app and download the upgrade via the app.


Select settings and camera update.

Thanks for the reply.

if I connect to the cam the WiFi connection is only between the iPhone and the camera.

it is not possible to connect to another WiFi at the same time.

the internet data comes from the cam’s 4G network.

 

is it possible to update the cam with a downloaded file?
