why do I have 'E' in data bar

 I have had an 'E' symbol rather than '3G' for around 5 days noe and its become very annoying. 


I have called 150 for technical support but the automated system told me to go online and put the phone down.


I have tried looking in my phones settings and I find nothing. ive had a network txt from EE and nothing has changed. 


is this a handset problem or network?

Are you on EE,  Tmobile or Orange? 


Have you checked what service you can receive here or if you have mast issues here


The E represents the type of signal you are receiving which is basic 2.5G.  



To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 07953 966 250 from any other phone.

EE standard opening hours are 8am to 9pm weekday, 8am to 8pm on weekends.

I'm on EE. tried the links and there are no known issues in my area. 


the internet is annoyingly slow.
