signal box

We used to struggle to get a good mobile signal at home – we live in a converted barn with thick walls. After discussing with EE we were sent an EE Signal Box (Femtocell)

This clever device uses our home broadband connection and improved our mobile signal enormously. However my question is that now that we have WiFi Calling on our phones, is there any need to keep this device? I can't see that it serves any purpose but the technically minded members out there may put me right?

Thanks.

Re: signal box

Hi,

No you don't need it if you are using WiFi calling so it can be disconnected.  You should keep hold of it in case you get a phone which doesn't have this feature.

Also they are also account specific so only you can use it.

Thanks

Re: signal box

Thanks - as I suspected - another device I can remove from my network!
