My father and I are trying to gift data using the My EE app, this is the first time we've tried and are following the online instructions. There is supposed to be a button appearing around the bottom of the screen that says "Manage Family".
This does not appear and instead says "See All Allowances". This does not lead to any data gifting options.
Are we doing something wrong?

Have you taken a look at the Data Gifting help and support pages?
Is it data gifting you're describing?
Data Gifting lets you move data around your devices when someone’s low. Just choose the person who needs data, choose who’s got spare data to gift and that’s it. They’re back online, without you spending an extra penny.
How it works:
Once it’s done, we’ll text the person whose data has been moved - and the person receiving the Data Gift.
Just keep in mind, you need at least 500 MB on your account to make a Data Gift.

Yes it is Data Gifting that I am describing but within the My EE app, there is no Family Usage button, the place where it should appear instead says "See All Allowances".
I have checked that this is the correct app, the correct account and numbers. There is more than enough data available too.
What do you suggest?

Maybe there’s not enough data on your account…
You need at least 500 MB on your account to make a Data Gift. If everyone’s out of data, get a data add-on in My EE (online or in the app).
Are you trying to gift data to someone on a shared plan?
If someone on your account is on your shared plan, you can’t gift data to them. But you can send a Data Gift to yourself, that they can use.
If you are still having difficulty, then please contact customer services and the team can look into this for you.
