Smart watch wont connect to my phones network

I've just bought a  4g galaxy smart watch.  It wont  connect to my phone via mobile network.  Updated both phone and watch, still no luck

What phone do you have ?  and are you a contact customer? 

 

The watch connects to your phone via Bluetooth and is linked to your EE account so it has its own data allowance, have you taken out a Sim only contract for the watch via the Watch app on your device ? This contract is £7 per month if you supply to watch yourself
