Slow data speeds getting 0.1 mbps with no internet connectivity

Hi,

I've been on EE network for over 2 years however since August 2016 I've been having issues with slow or no internet connectivity in one specific location. (Glasgow G2 7NP)

Having complained to EE in around September 2016 as the internet was becoming unusable for large periods throughout the day I was firstly told that there were no apparent issues in the area. I then escalated the issue and the on-site engineers determined there was a fault with the one of the 4G masts that servicing my requests.

After a period of 2 months elapsing I was told the issue was now "fixed" however complaining again the onsite engineers then stated that there was a load balancing issue and that was the cause of my limited internet connectivity.

After almost 6 months of contacting EE and wasting my time chasing up on the issue I've now been told that EE cannot fix the issue and the reason given to me was that there is was something in the area blocking the signal I am getting to my phone but that EE were not allowed to disclose to me what exactly was blocking the signal.

To describe the exact the issue I'm having:

Very frequently I'm unable to browse any website despite my phone showing 3-4 bars of 4G signal. At other times websites do load but extremely slowly.

Sometimes however I noticed that the signal drops from 4G to 3G with again around 3-4 bars signal strength but still face the above issue.

I have linked some screenshots with speeds tests I run when the issue occurs:

Note at other times the data signal appears to be completely fine and I can get around 10 mbps indoors.

Can someone from EE please look into further as I've have n't had any success from phoning customer services. They have basically told me after 6 months that they think something is blocking my signal but cannot disclose the reason to me. Before August 2016 I had no issues in this area. There is a new building being constructed at G2 7NP which started around then but it does not explain how I always have a good signal but limited data.

I intend to leave the network due to the issues and I know other users are facing the same problems in the area. It seems likely that EE will be losing a lot of customers in the coming months as the issue is frustrating enough to change networks.

Thanks

Please could you post a speedtest of when it's fine?

This is just a user discussion group. We can't fix it from here but can just advise you as to what you may be able to do.

Re: Slow data speeds getting 0.1 mbps with no internet connectivity

Here is a speed test I did this morning:

Thats one of the better results.

The majority of the time when I actually want to use the data it never works and it very frustrating. EE customer services have been no help at all had have wasted my time for 6 months. I'm also paying for a service which does nt work as expected, disappointing.
