Sim not recognised as ee

I have a 4G works iPad with mobile data.

 

i have tried to register for the EE app and it does not recognise the mobile number so does not complete.

 

i also have tried to use the BT Sport app, but comes up with an error message saying that I need an EE some.

 

It has EE in the corner when on a mobile network and I get 4G.

 

The same also happens on my work phone Galaxy G4 on 4G EE.

 

Can anyone advise?

Does your company have a corporate contract with us?

 

The BT Sport offer is available pay monthly 4GEE customers on consumer or small business handset, SIM only phone or tablet Price Plans.

@TrickyT   Read THIS as you need to call to setup BT sport on your tablet 

 

on on your phone have you text SPORT to 150 ?   Read the link I've gave you on how to set this up.

I have the BT Sport App installed on both the iPadn and Galaxy S4.  They are provided by my work with a 4G EE sim in them.

 

When I log into the BT Sport App I get the message

 

Sorry, you need a device with an EE SIM to view live content or access the enhanced player.

 

As I mentioned, I cannot register with the EE App as it does not recognise the phone numbers on eihter device.

 

I this something to do with them being a works device?

@TrickyT   Can you please answer the questions i've asked you. 

 

 

Have you called EE customer services about setting up the tablet to use the BT sort app ?  as this is what you have to do. 

 

And have you texted SPORT to 150 to activate this service for the phone ?  

 

did you read THIS ?

 

to add you can not setup an account as the number of the tablet and phone is already on your company account.  and the BT sport offer is for new or upgrading customers not existing customers.

 

 

and something tells me its might not be for business customers.

I have not contacted CS yet as I wanted to find out if there was anything I needed them to do/ask before.

 

Texting Sport to 150 on the works phone, I get the following reply.

 

We're sorry - to get free access to all the great action on BT Sport app has to offer you need to be on an EE pay monthly mobile, SIM only phone or tablet plan.

 

As you have put, this must be due to being a company phone.

I am not sure to be honest.

 

i just thought it would be easier to watch it in the larger screen of the iPad than my personal mobile phone.

 

it is a large company, would have though 1000+ handsets.

 

i just thought it was strange as I know it is an EE 4G sim in the iPad that is was not regognised.

If you have 1000+ handsets with us, it will be a corporate account.

 

As @Leanne_T said, the BT Sport offer is only available on personal and small business accounts.
