Shortcode charges

What short codes do EE charge for?

Is it possible to unsubscribe without paying to send a message back to unscrupulous companies - which also confirms you as a re-saleable number

I remember replying STOP to a shortcode a few years ago and was charged. It's either do nothing and keep receiving them or try to stop them but the mobile operator (EE) will not really help. Its same for spam text messages from companies with names rather than numers - you cannot forward them to the 7726 spam service - this and 150 are the only codes I know I wont be charged for.

Re: Shortcode charges

@shah312  You can call customer services and ask them to block these.  And sending STOP to reply numbers can sometimes cause a charge.

Hi @shah312 and welcome to the community.

You can speak to customer services to block any premium rate access on your account.

Many thanks,

Re: Shortcode charges

It's the service provider who's charging & EE is just passing it on.

What shortcode is it?
