Receiving calls with Go Further?

I am moving to the UK soon and we’re looking at phone options. We want to go with EE, and noticed they have a “Go Futher” option. This would be helpful for staying in touch with friends and family in the US. But would family and friends also be able to initiate calls and send me texts? Or is it just one way - me sending them texts and calls? Sorry if this is a stupid question 😬

Re: Receiving calls with Go Further?

The Go Further add-on is no use to you in the UK. It's for when you are roaming in the US or 4 other countries. What you need is the CALL ABROAD add-on.

Calling a non-UK no. from the UK are International calls & are chargeable. You are not roaming when you do so.

International calls & texts to overseas nos. from UK can be rather expensive but EE has a free add-on that anyone, on PAYG or contract, can apply for to give these calls & texts at a fraction of the standard rates. See The Free CALL ABROAD Add-on for Cheap Calls/Texts from UK .

Whatever plan you have with EE will not affect others calling you. They will still pay their home networks' rate for International calls.

Re: Receiving calls with Go Further?

The Go Further plans doesn't mean it's free for you to call US numbers from the UK.

It is there for when you are roaming in the USA.

So it wont make your Bill's cheaper if you are in UK and call friends and family in US.
