Pictures not loading in apps on iPhone 8.

Had this problem for a few days now. Every time I try to see an image on WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram etc it doesn’t work. Facebook comes up with a gray background and a refresh button, WhatsApp comes up blurry with the arrow, every time I click the arrow it doesn’t work. Points to note;

- I have reset network settings multiple times

- text is still coming though on all applications, just not multimedia files

- all of this works fine when I use a VPN on 4g, but not when I don’t

- everything is fine over WiFi 

 

I spoke to EE on the phone who were dumbfounded and advised to take it into a shop. Can anyone help? It’s only multimedia files this affects, on all apps from what I can see.

Issue fixed, copied Leanne T’s hack from earlier;

- log into EE app

- go to settings

- change content restriction to strict

- restart IPhone 

- log back into EE app

- change content restrictions back to not restricted

@Willbur   there are other customers complaining that Facebook Instagram and WhatsApp don’t work, all these apps are owned by Facebook and it appears that they have an issue again.

Hi Chris, thanks for the reply. I’d agree with you, but it directly affects reddit too which is why I didn’t immediately go knocking on their door!
