Phone usage by my daughter- How to reduce it without causing world-war 3 !

Although I have tried (reasonably) to speak to my daughter about the amount of time that she spends on the phone to her friends talking/texting/WhatsApp/Snapchat/Instagram etc I feel that I am fighting a losing battle in trying to get it off har after what I feel is a generous amount of time on our part. I have to end up grappling with her, which is a last resort and quite upsetting on both parts . She will hide the phone, sneak it up to her room, get her older sister to get it back etc. I have turned off the 4G capability and also tried turning off the WiFi connection but this still doesn't deter her. Is there a way that I can carry out a 'total shutdown' after a certain time at night, or after a certain amount of usage ? Any help would be so very much appreciated.

Hi @LozzaS

Put her on PAYG and limit her credit.

You may also be able to block her device in your router, so no WiFi.

Other than that I'm afraid there isn't much you can do or other than have a conversation with her.

Thanks
