Not sure why mobile data isn't working

I bought a new handset (Motorola Moto E3) yesterday and put my sim card in it as I already have a contract. I can make calls and send texts but I can't use the mobile data - it's not on airplane mode, mobile data is switched on  and I don't have a clue why it's not conecting to the internet - does anyone have any ideas???

 

I also noticed that it says T-mobile but on my previous handset my network was always EE. Does anybody have any idea why this is? Could this be anything to do with the internet connection?

@diggylou  Where did you get this handset from ? 

 

And have you put the APN setting in the device?

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 07953 966 250 from any other phone.

EE standard opening hours are 8am to 9pm weekday, 8am to 8pm on weekends.

Hi,

 

I bought the handset from Tesco. It is unlocked and they said I can use any sim in it.

 

I've googled EE APN and tried it but it's still not working. Not sure if I have it correct though.

I went onto the link that Northerner sent but my handset is not on there. It's a Motorola XT1700 Moto E3. Shall I choose a similar one?

If your handset is not listed you can enter them manually.

Username Leave Blank

Password Leave Blank

Server Leave Blank

MNC 30

Authentication Type PAP

APN Type If you have choices select internet + mms otherwise type in *

Thank you for your help, unfortunately it hasn't worked.

 

Do you think this could be anything to do with the fact that I can make calls and the network it is on says T-mobile?

It's an old sim, it's an orange sim card but I've had EE service for years.
