I have received a text from EE on 150 saying data roaming is in place, i have revived texts saying it's working, I can text and call but no internet usage? No option to enable data roaming as greyed out? Very frustrated! Turning phone on and off doesn't help?!

What phone do you have?
You should be able to activate roaming on your handset under network settings.

Please try the troubleshooting below and let me know if any of it works:-
Try re-booting your device
Try turning 4G off in ‘settings’
Perform a manual network search:-
