My data reset has not worked, I have tried turning off and on and resetting ???

Help! My data should of reset yesterday but hasn't, I've tried turning the phone on and off and taking the data usage off and re-setting that but no luck. My phone did have a melt down during the month when an update made it overheat and I had to turn it off and on so I'm not sure if that has affected it ???

Hi @Foster75

 

In order to use the data it will need to be kept on, you will not incur any additional charges as when you run out you will be prompted to buy more.

@Foster75  Your device will have no effect on your data allowance.  With wifi off on the device click THIS and it will show you exactly what data you do have.

No I don't think so, I only purchased the phone last year

I think there has been some confusion in my question.

 

Last month did you run out of you standard data allowance and purchase a bundle to see you through to your billing date (Yesterday)?

Hi Lee,

 

It says I have 300MB remaining of my data allowance, it says the same when I log into my online account and check my data allowances ( 300 MB left of 300 MB bought 9th Feb )

Yes I get unlimited texts and 300 uk and voicemail calls and 300MB

Hi Lee,

 

Sorted now I think my account was refreshed and lots of turing things off and on , but quick question, on the mobile data/data connection on settings, it says mobile data may be used in the back ground and may incurr charges, turn it off to avoid additional charges. If I turn mine off now, my data used is incorrect again. Do I now have to leave it on all the time ???

You'd best turn background data OFF. This is data used by apps in the background for their own (not yours) nefarious purposes. This will not stop you using your apps explicitly on demand and then they will be using foreground data as necessary.
