Re: Mobile coverage in the Shetland Isles

Even if EE do offer 800Mhz coverage in those areas, there’s no guarantee the BT mobile users would be able to access it.

BT Mobile users still can’t use WiFi calling or VoLTE (4G calling) yet can they?  I believe WiFi calling is coming soon to BT Mobile though.

VoLTE is the important one for 800Mhz coverage, as EE (and potentially BT) will only let handsets with VoLTE access the 800Mhz spectrum as EE have to be able to provide a voice service in areas where the 800Mhz coverage is the only available coverage.

For what it's worth, there does seem to be L800 coverage in Lerwick but @Profile closed is absolutely right about MVNO & VOLTE access.
