I'm using an EE sim on my IS Verizon unlocked phone, why can't I get 4G?

I'm traveling and staying in the UK for a family visit for 3 weeks and decided to get an EE sim for my journey. I have a Verizon phone is is normally unlocked but when I put in my EE sim, while calls and data works, I can't get 4g. I've tried everything from turning on roaming and taking it in and out and rebooting. Nothings worked and I can't find a solution for it.

Hi,

It could be because:

  • The Version firmware doesn't allow use oh EE 4G frequency which is different to the US
  • The phone Radio cannot be used on the EE 4G European frequency
  • You haven't enabled roaming under settings and under network selected EE 2G/3G/LTE or 4G

Thanks
