Hi, mobile data has been working fine up until around 10:20am but I now have no connection at all. Are there any known issues in the Manchester area or is it more likely to be a technical issue with my phone? Thanks!

Have you tried turning it off and on again?
What does the network status checker say for your postcode? Any reported issues?

I have just turned it off and when I restarted, a awhatsapp message came through that had been sent at 10:45am but dropped off again now.

As @Profile closed it's possible it is just a small glitch in the EE matrix. If it doesn't come back soon, I'd say call EE and they can look at it in a bit more detail, it could be no one else has reported it yet.
Or if you're inside, pop outside and see if that helps, signal might be a bit better.
