I can buy a 6GB sim for £18.35 on amazon but topping up an existing SIM is..

Way more expensive? why? I have amazon prime so I only have to wait until the morning and can use my phone to tether for data until then, but why can't I get a 6gig top-up directly with EE for that price?

@paradox  Because you have to purchase that SIM card to get the 6 Gb.  As that's the offer.

Well, seems I can't even top-up either. Keeps telling me something like anonymous payment failed, I topped it up yesterday fine, guess I have to use my phone for internet for now until my new card gets here.

Hi @paradox,

Welcome to the EE Community.

Have you contacted your card provider to ask why the payment failed?

It could be a security check at their end.

Thanks

James
