I buy a new EE sim card and with 8GB data for 3 month doesn't work

The sim card credit is 0, and without any data, I pay for it in the store in Birminghang, and I live in another place, how could I do????

I had a similar problem yesterday. I put a new sim-card in that was supposed to have 200MB on it but it wasn't giving me internet access. I went to http://add-on.ee.co.uk/status and this did load although it didn't mention anything about any pending add-ons but offered two buttons 'Register' and 'Activate' (I think, it /was/ yesterday). I clicked on 'Activate' and lo, and behold!, my 200MB appeared. You might try the same.

For reasons best known to themselves, EE won't let me post a screenshot as an image so here it is as a video. Go to your browser and use it to go to page add-on.ee.co.uk/status. It's a screenshot of add-on-ee.co.uk/status for the sim card I mentioned. You can see that it says there is no data and no credit but gives an 'Activate' button and when I clicked on it my 200 MB appeared. I'm using the 'internet' app on my mobile phone but the browser on my laptop would also have worked if I was tethering a dongle (or my phone).

 

Just a check ... you said you bought it in Birmingham but you aren't there now. Are you abroad and having roaming difficulties?

 

PS. This is a throw-away sim card. I don't care that it gives away my number.

Err, no. It's good that I can now post images but there is no moderation on videos so it seems a little strange that photos are moderated. I posted that image above yesterday and it was visible (to me) when I posted it but when I return this morning it's a smallish white square with a faint red circle and angled diameter in it. Presumably a moderator has to give it the ok before it is visible.

Once the image is approved, everyone will see it. However if the image is rejected, the moderators will message users and explain.

Thanks, but I posted it on Wednesday and my test-image still isn't visible on Sunday. I'll stick to unmoderated videos.
