How to make 4G work with my Playstation PSN using Huawei B618 Router

Hi,

Ive just bought an EE Sim 4G with 500GB data and a Huawei B618 Router.

What settings do I need to change so it works fine with My Playstation online gaming? At the moment it doesn't seem to work well at all.

I have 140mbps down and 20mbps with a ping of 15ms so a great connection it seems.

Hi @johnford60

You need to open the ports on the router which the PS4 uses. Try looking under the settings port forwarding.

Thanks

Hi,

Ive opened all ports and its still very slow.

Im seeing 120mb down and 20up the the PS is only seeing 30mb down and between 0.5 and 3mb up.

Ive tried different cables and a different console.

Open ports are only needed if the PS is running its own server(s) which expects unsolicited connections from outside & has nowt to do with speed.
