Got a text from 1024 that I’ve used up 80% of my 12G data? My average monthly usage is 2-3G.

I recommend doing as @Northerner says and checking your My EE account or add-on status page to make sure that the text is definitely correct.

Hi Chris,

 

Thanks for coming back to me. I’ve checked and it says the same although my average usage is around 2-3G even if I leave the country. I was at home almost the whole month and was using wifi. Something is definitly wrong.

Iphone 7 plus. Yes I had issues 3 times with my Virgin wifi but only for couple of hours.

I have a Nokia wifi camera a Nest app which I’m using to set the heating from my phone, but I’ve been using them for 2 months. Previous month usage was 2.5 G.

Could you go into your settings and check how much data the new app has used please?:-

 

Tap Settings >>> Mobile Data >>> Scroll down.

 

The amount of data showing against each app is how much data the app has used since it was downloaded/the last time it was reset.

 

It may also be worth looking at your other apps on there to see if there are any anomalies.

 

Also, since you're having some problems with your WiFi, it may be worth turning off WiFi assist. It's right at the bottom of the page I pointed out above.

Thanks Chris. Just checked and it seems that my home cam took 8G out 12G due to issues with my wifi.
