Facebook and Instagram

Facebook and Instagram both say I am offline when on mobile data  This has been happening for a couple of months now. I even bought a new phone phone today and it's still happening. They work fine on WiFi

Try logging into your MyEE app then - Settings - Content Lock - change this to off. Then restart your device.

It should now work.

Thanks, I tried that and it was already off. I have phoned EE and they are sending me a new sim, though I don't hold out much hope of that working!

If it's off then turn it back on, restart your devices and then turn content lock back off. 

 

See if that works.

That's a great suggestion from @Northerner, if you can turn your content lock on to Strict, then restart your phone, and finally turn it off again, this should fix your problem.

 

Could you let us know if this works for you?

I have no option to change the lock.  under Use Content Lock it says
'xxxx xxxxx's content lock is turned off.  Your bill payer sets this control'   

there is no option to change it in any way.

what is really perplexing is that this all started happening a couple of months ago for no reason.

I am! And always have been. Cannot figure out how to change it.

Ok, thanks @Baffled101.

 

Content Lock is under Menu, then Manage Device.

 

If you're unable to change it, I'd recommend getting back in touch with our Customer Care team to change your online account settings.
