I have install Dragon Ball Legends on my mobile device but it simply cannot work on 4G (or 3G).
The game works fine on WiFi or even in another 4G network (when I was traveling in France).
It seems like EE is blocking the connection to the game's servers.
I have a Google Pixel 3 XL.
I have tried everything: reinstalling the game, resetting the network settings, restarting the phone, etc... with no luck.
Any clues why?

@jmarcel is this just in France? As you was using a roaming network not EE at the time it could just be that roaming network.

@jmarcel It sounds like a iPV6 issue and the game is not compatible with it. It might be worth asking them to update it so it is. Just to check have you restarted the device since you go back ? Have you tried using a VPN as this will then go through that and should by pass this issue until it's fixed and it will also prove its a iPV6 issue.

@jmarcel I’ve just downloaded the game and all updates over a cellular connection and everything is working
Have you turned off content lock in your EE account settings? It’s under manage this device.

Hmm, content lock is off for my device.
I remember that downloading the updates works over 4G but not when it tries to connect.
When I see "Connecting..." at the bottom right that's usually when the app hangs.

Is this the only app you're having trouble with on the EE network?

Yeah, I figure that this cannot affect all EE customers otherwise that would be a huge issue.
I'm just trying to know what is happening. WiFi works perfectly so it must be something up with my mobile connection.
I've looked at similar issues and you do find people who cannot play certain games on 4G, so that's probably what's happening to me. I've got no issues with other games.

Is data enabled on your phone for all apps?
Sometimes it can be switched off for particular apps and features.

Hi @James_B ,
I have contacted technical support but there was nothing they could do.
Nothing seems wrong with my EE account.
The app works on 4G in France but not in the UK.
I've opened a ticket with the game developers but they weren't aware of any issues as well.
It might be something very specific with my phone.
My wife is on EE too, I'll try installing the game on her phone and see if it works.

Alright @James_B ,
I have done some testing. I actually have a spare phone with an EE PAYG SIM so I've tried on that instead.
This is what I've done:
First, I installed the game on my spare phone with PAYG sim. The game worked.
Then, I swapped the sims on my phones:
- On my personal phone with the PAYG sim, the game worked.
- On my spare phone with my MONTHLY sim, the game didn't work at first. But after waiting for the game to contact its servers a couple of times and failing, it started working. It seems like it needed a bit more time (though internet was working for everything else).
I then swapped the sims again, but I still couldn't make the game work on my personal phone. I thought it was a fluke, I swapped the sims again, and both games could be played on both phones (I still had to wait for one or two connection failures spare phone with the MONTHLY sim but then it started working consistently).
Swapped again, same issue.
It does seem like the combination of my personal phone + MONTHLY sim (or EE account) is the issue here.
I've ordered a new sim for my MONTHLY subscription and once I get it I'll see if it helps.
I'll keep you posted!

@James_B Unfortunately I still have the same problem after changing my SIM.
I've resigned to make use of a VPN when I'm on 4G as a workaround to this issue.

@jmarcel Sound crazy but have you tried deleting the app and reinstalling it. It just might be because you installed it in France.
