Apple Watch error code 031

Have had my app,e Watch series 3 for a week. Messaged someone last week about error code 031. Was told that there would be an update to fix issues within the following few days. Still waiting, still cannot connect my Apple Watch to my data plan.

can someone please help me.

Received my call back this morning from Kayleigh who was very helpful and sorted data issue for me in 20mins.

I’m still having issues been on the phone for ages over 3 days with no luck. 

031 is all I’m getting. Ee have reset the sim still not luck. Now there isn’t enough people to look at it today? Very frustrating!!

A year on from these Apple Watch Series 3 problems. I have the exact same issue with Series 4. Spent most of the weekend on the line to CS unpairing, re-pairing, updating EID, IMEI, resetting, removing spurious account numbers etc.  Is there a fix?

I received my Apple Watch series 4 on Sunday direct from EE and i'm also getting the same error message of 031.  I've chatted with an advisor on chat support this evening who has referred it to 2nd Level Team and stated they will call me back in the next 48hours.

 

Happy to wait but wondering if you can help with this at all in the meantime?

Hi James,

 

I had a missed called and voicemail from someone called Nathan who was from the Device Team on Thursday 18th.  He said that they would call me back within the next 24/48hours and i've yet to recieve a call back.

 

I called 150 this morning who advised that because this has been escalated to the Device Team, they are unable to assist and I should await a call back - he couldn't give me a timescale as to when this will happen.

 

I understand that they're probably working in the background trying to get this resolved but I feel a bit disappointed that i'm paying for a service that I can't use Smiley Sad

 

Any help on this would be appreciated.

I'm sorry to hear this hasn't been resolved yet.

 

You're correct in saying the device team will be working in the background to resolve this for you.

I have this problem with an Apple Watch 3 bought from the Apple Store. It's been nearly 4 weeks (reported 13th July 2019) and no resolution. After initial very time consuming calls involving multiple pairing and unpairing with no success, the problem was escalated. I have called multiple times to chase progress and was eventually told it was with a specialist team and would be resolved within 72 hours. This came and went without being fixed and a further call revealed that EE has an internal issue with setting up Apple Watches that were not bought from EE that they are trying to fix. I now just get the same automated text message every 72 hours for the last 3 weeks saying "The investigation regarding your device is still on-going"etc, etc.

 

If you are unable to provide this service to people that did not buy their watch from EE, then you should say so, so that people can decide whether to go ahead with the purchase or switch to another mobile provider where it does work. I upgraded from my Apple Series 1 watch so that I could use mobile data - this upgrade remains a waste of money.

Hi - I am being told it is being looked into. When I last called I was told there was no update they could give me and I just get a text message every 72 hours saying "Hi from EE. The investigation regarding your device is still ongoing, We will be in touch as soon as we have any updates". I've been getting this text message since the 19th July.
