Accessing www.modelrailwayforum.co.uk on EE mobile

Hello,

As per the thread title, I along with other members are having trouble accessing www.modelrailwayforum.co.uk on EE mobile. We can get on ok if using wifi, and other mobile networks don't seem to be affected.

Can you offer any advice?

Thanks

Try adding another APN with duplicates bar APN Profile = "IPV4" & Discard the original.

Re: unable to access https://www.qustodio.com by 4G, OK on VM WiFi

More news.  Some helpful people (chistery among others) on another thread "shttps://www.tolkiensociety.org/ website blocked? Unable to connect for months" suggested the problem is that EE's network does not fall back to IPv4 if IPv6 fails.   THis is why things work on ASDAS (which only uses IPv4).

I changed my phone settings as below to use IPv4 and things seem to be working OK now.  I'll come back after a short interval and report on whether this completely solved things.

On the Motorola E4 (Android 7.1.1) I went to settings/more/Mobile_networks/Access_point_names/Internet/APN_protocol/

There I found a choice:

IPv4

IPv6

IPv4/IPv6 (the default)

I selected IPv4

I have tried to do the above, but the ipv4/ipv6 option, along with everytghing else is greyed out.

Phone is a Samsung s8+, fully up to date, android 9

@acepaul: What's the URL of the site you can't get to? Can you get to it over WiFi?

Have you tried the solution I suggested above? What phone have you?
