100MB Free Every Month gone?

Hi EE,

 

As per the subject heading, I noticed that AL text to 150 does not show my free 100MB every month for life. Where has it gone?

 

If i scroll back through my SMSs, I can see the last time it showed the free 100MB per month for life on 7th Feb.

 

Can somebody check this or reinstate this? My PAYE has not changed, it just keeps rolling over. I haven't changed Packs, bought any "promos" etc. etc. Literally nothing has changed, except the missing 100MB "for life"...

@Biliskner  You’ll will have to call customer services about this.   

 

And im sure if you read any T&Cs of this offer you’ll probably find that EE  reserve the right to end any offers or promotions at any time.

I'm with EE.

 

No I don't see the 100MB free when I log in via my web browser. Where would it be if it were displayed? All I can see is my data / minutes / texts left and how many days left before the next pack starts.

 

The Android App also doesn't show it (not that I can see)

If you log into your My EE app > Plan and add-ons > Does, this show in there for you?

 

If not, if you give us a call on 150 we will be able to get this looked into for you.

Yes i have the add-on pack, it says:

"Free 100MB data every month"

"lasts 30 days"

"cost: free"

 

Should I be able to see the usage of the free 100MB on the main screen?

Hi @Biliskner.

 

To check your allowances by text, you can text BALANCE to 150.

 

Alternatively, you can check your remaining data allowance in your MyEE Account.

As per my original post, no where (AL or Balance to 150 or the EEApp) shows how much of the 100MB per month free is remaining. Has this just been removed?

I would also be interested in a reply to this as I have the same SIM with the free for life 100MB per month.

 

AS with the OP it no longer shows on the app (Android) or on the EE account on a web browser.

Many thanks for that.

 

That link shows that all my data was used up on 10/03/2019.

 

This is not the case as the tablet that the SIM is in has been switched off for at least a fortnight! Previously it had said that the data was due to start again on 10/03/19.

 

Is this going to be sorted out?

 

I know it's only 100MB but I find it useful.

Just replying in case it helps any one.

 

Your customer service guys called, he was helpful enough although he did not (could not) give much more info. than what was already explained through the Team here. We agreed to wait till Fri when my Pay as you Go renewed and the 100MB was "due" to renew.

 

Friday came and i texted AL to 150 at 1am. It said I had 300MB left (my pay as you go only has 200MB). Under add-ons, the 100MB was "available". Fair.

Saturday came and I texted AL to 150 and sure enough it said I had 280MB left (80MB more than my "normal plan") and under add-ons, the 100MB was all "used up".

 

So it looks to me like the 100MB per month free is being "rolled in" to the total amount when you text 150 for your balance. Instead of having it as a seperate section in the SMS.

 

The EE App / Web Portal isn't much better, it's not clear where the 100MB is used or if it's available. You can only be sure you have it on the first day when your "plan" starts again (as you know how much you should have via the boosts etc) and then you have to manually add 100MB to the total. It's a bit archaic, but meh, at least it's still there I guess.

 

Thanks all for your assistance. Maybe you could pass this back to your engineering team and get them to fix the frontend. It can't be that hard to add a section that tracks the free monthly data seperate from the usual data/boosts (I mean, it used to do this at the beginning of Feb this year!)
