Remove content lock on MY WEBSITE

When I try to access my website www.thebarattemple.co.uk I am restricted with a message saying the site is blocked as a safety feature, please advise how we can get this removed as our site does not contain explicit material or anything not suitable for minors and we want to ensure access for your customers.

Alcohol and tobacco sites are blocked on Strict settings.

Thanks but this is exactly my point, it's not an 'alcohol site'. It's a bar and kitchen. Similar to All Bar One which isn't blocked.

I would like EE to advise how we update our site with their content settings so that all EE users are able to access this site without it appearing that they are trying access something illegal or immoral.

Thanks for your reply and checking out the site. I only put All Bar One as it is a national chain that people will hopefully recognise. There are plenty of 'boozers' local to me that I can access when on EE network so it doesn't seem to make sense why our site has been restricted. If someone from EE can advise I would be grateful

Welcome to the Community @andren

As @Northerner mentioned, customers would need to switch off their Content Lock settings for accessing sites that come under restricted categories. Alcohol focused sites would be blocked for Strict Level access.

However, I've passed this on to our categorisation team to take another review.
This may take some time. When I have an update I'll pop a reply here.

@andren : Sorry, I was rather disparaging about your bar earlier when reducing things to their basics. I'm sure it would be an excellent experience & if I were still in London I would be sure to visit it.

Aside from that, I should think that if you & your users can access the sites of bar/pubs chains & other local bar/pubs there is no reason why you should not access yours w/out having to do some network specific jiggery-pokery. Anyway it should not be EE who classifies these content restrictions but somebody like IWF (Internet Watch Foundation). That way the restrictions would be consistent across mobile networks.

This is really helpful, thanks. ChatGPT has scanned the site aqnd found no malware or bad code etc. It suggests it is EE mis-classifying and recommends 'Email safeguard@ee.co.uk with your site URL, explanation of business purpose, and evidence that content is legitimate (bar/restaurant, no harmful material).' (putting this here in case it helps anyone else in the future.)

Our categorisation team have replied to say the site has been fully investigated by our suppliers and https://thebarattemple.co.uk/ is already categorised correctly as "Entertainment Venues & Events United Kingdom”, so it will be accessible by default for our customers, of those with Content Lock switched to Off.

If your content lock level is set to Strict, this will not allow access to the site.

Just to update, a few days after Ali_A's response above, and with me having done nothing to my devices, I could access my site so seems like contacting EE to get the site correctly classified was what it took.
