Possible scam email

Hi,

Ive received two emails today providing me with a passcode that I haven’t requested.

I didn’t want to use the link attached to report the issue.
Can you confirm that they are scams or not?

What is the link on the contact us link.

Welcome to the community.

It does look like it could be an email we'd use but scammers can be very clever in getting a page to look genuine.

If you can provide the email address it came from and the link on the contact us page, as @Northerner mentioned, we can check if it is from EE.

If it is genuine, we'll need to look at the next steps to find out why you have received it.

Hi All

I just had a call from a mobile number 07080 273495, I checked the phone number and it belongs to Vitualtalk, not EE.

They claimed to be from EE promotions department offering me 40% off. They were able to send an official email for 2fa, presumably after attempting to log into my account and then asked me to tell them the passcode in the email. I politely told them I think they are scammers.

Might be a good idea to block the phone number above to all EE phones, stay safe people!

If you're concerned about unsolicited contact from other companies, you can visit How to avoid and prevent scams including phishing, vishing and smishing for hints on how to block and prevent these.

You can also report the call to be investigated at Report a scam call | Help
Alternatively, text CALL followed by the number that called you, to 7726 .
