Can you check your upgrade date in your My EE Account?

You can usually upgrade up to 45 days before your contract end date.

It is possible for the price of paying off your contract of about 3 months.

hello, I already have a 5-month contract and I can upgrade in January.. what's going on? I know that I can do it in 3 months like any other mobile network, thank you

Your upgrade date will be 45 days before end of your min. term making it about 1st March. To upgrade before the 15th Jan you will have to pay off your contract until then. That'll be just short of 3 months from now. Hence what I advised.
