New SIM won't connect to EE

I have been set up on a new SIM only plan and instructed to put the new SIM in my phone. I have done this, checked all settings, and after more than 24 hours... I still have emergency calls only. This also means I cannot ring EE as I'm not connected to the network. How do I get my new SIM to activate?

Yes in the UK

I would recommend you trying the sim card in another phone to see if it works.
