Downloaded Wrong eSIM

I just received a new phone and while setting it up I managed to download my son's eSIM instead of my own.

Happy days, as I've now killed the eSIM in his iPhone and transferred it to my new Oppo. I've just spoken to an EE Guide who literally just tried to talk me through the requesting a new SIM in the app which doesn't work, it tells me I need to wait for 24hrs. So I got told I'd probably have to wait.

Any other way to bypass the 24hr wait to generate a new one? I'm guessing with is a SIM swap security measure but it's a bit frustrating.

Thanks for coming to the community.

You would need to wait the 24 hours in the app. If you get back in touch with our tech guides they can see what other options are available for you both to get the eSIM's downloaded on the right phones.

Thanks for the reply.

I have now managed to get my eSIM moved over off my old phone by doing a factory reset of the new handset and using the old phone to copy the eSIM over.

When I spoke to the Tech Guide she just kept trying to get me to download my son's eSIM again through the app, Which obviously won't work due to the 24hr block. She then said I either need to wait or drive to an EE store.

It's still not sorted, my son's eSIM is still dead and the Tech Guide just took me round in circles trying to request a new eSIM in the app.
