Anyway 1st you'll need to get back an EE SIM with your no. before you can move it anywhere else. You need to call CS to report the loss & they will block it & send you a replacement SIM with the same no. to your UK addy.

I have an EE PAYG phone number, but have recently lost my phone along with the SIM.

Ideally I would like to get a new phone with a contract, but keep the number- is it possible to do this on a new EE contract? Or is it possible to do this on a new contract with a different network?

Thank you

You'll need to treat this as two separate transactions, firstly replacing the SIM via the lost&stolen route. EE-CS can post a replacement SIM to your registered address and bar your existing one, then use "upgrade to pay-monthly" to transfer your line across - see https://ee.co.uk/help/mobile/upgrade/pay-as-you-go-upgrades

Given that (I presume) you'll be looking for a new phone as well as replacement SIM, then an EE retail shop may be a good alternative - where both parts of the process can be done face-to-face providing you take the appropriate forms of photo-ID.

That assumes you want to source your new phone from EE directly. If you're looking for the SIM-free/SIM-only route, then the EE shop can do the SIM-replacement and pay-monthly migration, but you can just buy your chosen phone from wherever you choose.
