Did you order an upgrade @Whit3

If you already have a working SIM with the same number, you can continue using that SIM. Just pop it into the new phone.

There is no need to use/activate the replacement eSIM if your existing SIM is working and you're happy to use it.

Ali

I asked for a iPhone 17 pro max with a plastic SIM and got a message saying your esim ready but didn't ask for a esim does this mean it's they have given me an esim instead of a plastic one

Hi @Whit3

It sounds like you have been given an eSIM. Sorry for any confusion.

Not a problem though, you swap to a physical SIM easily. Just follow the instructions to install the eSIM, and once you have it activated just order the physical SIM through the EE App. Click Manage > Settings > Replace My SIM.
Or order through your EE Online Account

Your existing eSIM still needs to be active for either of these options to work, as you'll need to activate the SIM when it arrives in the post.

Alternatively, you can pop into any EE Store with photo ID for a physical version of the SIM straight away.

If neither of these options are possible for you, you'll need to call customer service on 150 where a guide will be able to order a replacement physical SIM for you.

You can find out more at How do I swap or get a new SIM?

Ali

That's great.

In which case as it's an upgrade the eSIM will only replace your physical SIM if you install and activate it.

Just take the SIM out of your old phone and place it into the new one and you're good to go 😀

Enjoy your new phone!

Ali
