References to "24 hours" in porting is inherently misleading, ports take one working day from submitting PAC. The next working day is Monday 29th, PAC submitted anytime now will be treated as submitted Monday 29th for port-in on Tuesday 30th.

PAC is short-hand for Porting Authority Code

PUK is a Personal Unlock Key, for unlocking a SIM when the PIN has been entered incorrectly too many times.
