topic SIM not working in SIM cards & Porting

Hi all. I got a new SIM a few days ago as EE recommended I have an upgraded one to be better on 5G. I can't seem to get it to work. I followed all the advice given about none connection but it's just the same. No network, emergency calls only. The only time my phone works is at home on WiFi, like now. I have no means of calling unless I've got this phone to work properly. What can I do?

Can you be more specific about what advice you've followed "about none connection"?

Can you use WiFi-calling at home? This uses the same connection to EE's core network as the mobile network so is a good test of whether the SIM is live or not - and it would then allow you to make & receive calls in the meantime.

And as per Katie's post, does your old SIM still work OK?

Katie.
When I tried the old SIM, that did work before I put the new one in, the
old SIM didn't connect. I just got the emergency calls only message.
I have to add, however, one of my family called in unexpectedly so I used
their phone to call EE technical. They sorted the issue and now I'm
connected.
Crisis now over.
Thanks for your concern, however.
Regards
John ******
