topic Moving kid from Family Setup apple watch to kid's own iPhone in SIM cards & Porting

Hello,

My kid has an apple watch cellular linked to my iPhone via Family setup. I have a contract with EE, and kid's watch has monthly renewable contract with own phone number, linked to my account. And now the kid's got a new iPhone, so I want to it to become the main device which uses the number the watch uses, and the watch being either with or without cellular connection (that is, migrate the watch from family setup to kid's own iPhone). I know how to unlink and link the watch with iPhones. But what are my options regarding the eSIM migration? Will it migrate automatically? How much will it cost me to have it in something like family plan (with and without watch having cellular connection)?

Asking these questions here because I can't find live chat option anywhere on the web portal and in the EE app, like it used to be. And I prefer more asynchronous communication to hanging on the phone. Thanks in advance.

Andriy

Good afternoon @sich.

Welcome back to the Community!

It's a separate kind of plan for personal paired rather than family member, so you would need to have the plan type changed over in our system.

This isn't something that can be processed via self-serve at the moment, so you would need to give us a call so we can get this switched.
