&lt;P&gt;Are you downloading the eSIM from the EE app or have you received a QR code to scan and activate the eSIM? Is the iPad connected to WiFi? If you're connected to a Wifi network, could you try rebooting the iPad and try and activate the eSIM again, does this work for you?&lt;/P&gt;
