New SIM card transfer to 5g

I have just had a call saying that due to EE switching off the 4G signal I would be getting a new 5G SIM card and as a long term customer could receive a free watch or discount new phone. Is this genuine or a scam .

What was the number.

If EE switched of 4G there would be NO network in 85% of the country!

Sounds like a scam.

Hi just did a search of the number 07393 967434 . It is most likely a scam and I have now blocked it on my phone..
