Port-ins are usually actioned the working day after a PAC is submitted, providing that's before approx 5pm on a working weekday.

I suspect the 21/8 reference is picking up the standard 30day "holding" timescale that's used when a PAC is supplied with a new SIM order, and thus can't be actioned until the SIM is physically received.

I visited an EE Shop today and the assistant began porting my BT number to my new EE account. I got a text later to say that the number will be transferred by 6pm on 21/8!

I understood this was an overnight process. Do EE give themselves 4 weeks just in case of issues? Is this 4 week window sent out to everyone who ports to be on the safe side? T

Thanks

Trevor
