Hi @StuM4

This is not possible becase you will need to port your number out of EE to another carrier then back to EE on your new SIM.

I am just perplexed why they couldn't authorise roaming on your existing SIM. Are you sure they haven't set up a new line which you maybe charged.

Thanks

Recently I upgraded from BT WI FI to EE the included a free sim with unlimited calls and data not explaining that roaming was not included. So when I received my sim I fitted and ported my old phone number. On seeing the app reference this sim and no roaming I contacted EE and they replaced the sim with free roaming now they won’t transfer my number as they say they can’t transfer an EE number to an EE sim. I am pretty sure this is possible. How do I get them to transfer my number to the correct sim?

EE won't port nos. between its contracts. So you need to 1st port your existing no. to another network's PAYG using a PAC from EE & then in reverse port it back to your new contract. This will also have the effect of cancelling your old contract.

You could alternatively move your old contract to PAYG with 30 days notice & then ask EE to transfer the no to your new contract.
