Unable to Unlock EE Phone

Hi,

I want to move my old Samsung Galaxy Note 8 (EE) on to another user, but I am unable to unlock it. to use on another network.

The message when a different SIM is inserted is "sim network pin blocked enter sim network puk" however, the SIM is not locked (it works fine on a different phone). I've also tried it with another unlocked SIM - same message.

I have tried:

Entering the PUK from the SIM (Vodafone) just in case - this does not work
Entering in the Unlock code provided by EE based on the IMEI Number of the phone. Again, this does not work.
Entering just the last 8 digits of the Unlock code (I read this works sometimes and you can then enter in the other 8 digits). Again, this does not work.

I'm now out of ideas - how can I get this phone unlocked? Any help gratefully received.

You'll need to speak to EE again as the unlock code clearly was wrong.
