      <description>&lt;P&gt;No, you must be connected to the new provider's home UK network whilst your number is ported. Also applies to the activation of an eSIM.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;Whilst this is normally true of EE, you'd have to ask O2 what their requirements are for activation of new SIMs.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Otherwise it's a little like asking Tesco, what Sainsbury's refund policy is.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;A local SIM will come with a local number issued by a local provider.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
